Dream In: A Season of Gratitude
A Sound Meditation featuring GongLab & Special Guests
Join us in the Grand Ballroom of Chicago's iconic South Shore Cultural Center for an immersive, dreamlike experience that will soothe your spirit, reconnect you with nature, and activate new possibilities for the year ahead.
In the spirit of the upcoming season the Chicago Parks Foundation's "Dream In" offers a time set apart from our daily routines for pause and reflection, repair, and renewal.
The evening begins by candlelight as participants, nestled in their blankets and pillows, drift off into a 90-minute restorative sound journey featuring the powerfully resonating sounds of gongs, singing bowls, hypnotic percussion, otherworldly vocals, and lush delicate layers of live violin looping, embedded in nature soundscapes.
This guided meditation invites in the seminal energies of our collective ancestral lineages, and invokes the healing element of water to clear old griefs and unleash the transformative flow of gratitude, as we dream in new possibilities for the voyage ahead.
Dress comfortably and bring pillows, mats, blankets - whatever you need to create one yoga mat's worth of comfortable, cozy floor space.
Check in will be from 4-5PM. The sound meditation is 5-6:30PM followed by light refreshments.
Recommended for ages 16+. No meditation experience required to participate.
Free parking available onsite. Light reception to follow.
Face masks encouraged.
Daylight savings time ends at 12AM Sunday, November 6th.
